Description

PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Size 7-0, Black, 18", with G-6 needle, is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture composed of silk, an organic protein derived from the cocoon of the silkworm Bombyx mori. It is classified as a natural suture and is processed to enhance biocompatibility and reduce tissue reactivity.

This wax-coated structure improves knot security and manageability during suturing procedures. The suture maintains sufficient tensile strength for soft tissue approximation where long-term wound support is not critical. It is not absorbed by the body and requires manual removal if used in external applications.

The suture is armed with a G-6 reverse cutting needle, which has a 3/8 circle curvature designed to penetrate tough tissues such as skin. This configuration makes PERMA-HAND™ Silk Suture suitable for dermatological, ophthalmic, and microsurgical procedures requiring precision, flexibility, and secure wound closure.
